Biomonitor as a Secret Weapon

The Vancouver Canucks have never owned Stanley Cup rings. But they're wearing biorhythm bracelets, which the National Hockey League team hopes might help get players the jewelry they really want.

Canuck players have been issued black bracelets to monitor their circadian rhythms, which are hard to dance to but set everyone's biological clock.

Circadian rhythms are regular mental and physical changes, driven by light and darkness and other factors, that occur over a 24-hour period. Canuck players are wearing the rhythm monitors -- "sleep bands" -- during their six-game, 11-night road trip, removing them only for games and practices. Or, for Daniel and Henrik Sedin on Tuesday, to go swimming.

The Sleep Performance Sleep Bracelet, a sleep-monitoring device that the Vancouver Canucks are wearing.

The information will be downloaded next week when the trip ends, and each players' rest and energy patterns evaluated.

The innovative program, being overseen by the Vancouver firm Global Fatigue Management Inc., is part of new Canuck general manager Mike Gillis's strategy to use new technology to make his team better.

"It's about managing fatigue levels, seeing what kind of sleep guys are getting during travel," Gillis said before the Canucks beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 in overtime Thursday night.

"It will allow Global Fatigue to sit down with players and say: 'You average X-number of hours sleep, and here is when you were most fatigued.'

"They will help each guy develop [a sleep schedule] that suits them.

"It's educating players about fatigue and why some days they feel more tired than other days."

Biorhythms to Accelerate Weight Loss

Use your body’s biorhythm and eat more!

Losing weight is undoubtedly mankind’s biggest battle in modern history! (Well for some of us at least). In as little as 100 years, we humans have earned the accolade for being the fattest animals on the planet. Weight issues is more that just a ‘big’ vanity obsession. Being fat also carry with it tones of serious health issues.

Nevertheless, the truth is many of us wish to loose weight for aesthetic reasons. Whatever the reason maybe (whether its loosing weight for swimsuit season, for your wedding, to improve your health of just to spice sex life) here are some great tips on how to loose weight fast.

1) Eat more! You heard me. Studies have showed that many of us gain weight not because of how much we eat, but how we eat. When we have a big hefty meal, chances are the body does not need that much energy at that particular moment, so it will store the excessive calories consumed. What we should do is to have more frequent, but smaller meals throughout the day.

By having frequent small meals, the body has time to process the food more efficiently to convert it into energy, instead of fat. Although we may end up eating way more that we did before this program, this method has been proven to help you lose weight quickly!

2) Use your body’s biorhythm. The metabolism rate of your body varies throughout the day. Your body is more active at certain times of day and more passive in others. The trick is to plan your meals according to your body’s biorhythm. You may not have to change the amount of food being consumed everyday, but just change the timing of your meals.

For example, fattening foods like potatoes and other high carbs and high fat foods are best consumed before 12 pm. This is because up to this time, your body’s metabolism is at its highest. From 12 pm to 3 pm, you should stick to fruits vegetables and meat. From 3pm to 7 pm, it is best to stick to just proteins.

After 7, there should be no further consumption of foods. Don’t worry about being hungry as your high protein intake before 7pm will keep you feeling full through out the night.

3) Trick your body! This is another trick where you can loose weight quickly without changing your diet too much. It’s called the vegetable diet trick. During meal times, before you go for the foods that you like, you have to fill half of your plate with vegetables like leafy greens, beans or nuts (not potatoes or French fries).

After that you can fill the other half of your plate with whatever food you want (ice-cream, desert, sweets, meats whatever you wish). Now, before you start eating the food of your choice, you must finish all the vegetables in the other half of your plate first. After you have consumed the vegetables you can proceed to eat the food on the other half.

This is a way of tricking your brain into thinking that you are actually eating a lot of the food that you love, By the time you are done with your vegetables, your appetite for the other side of the plate would have decreased. Over time, your body will start developing a natural preference for vegetables that will help you keep the weight off in the long run!

Moon's Biorhythms

The Moon may not be made of cheese, but it seems to influence a lot more down on Earth than we previously thought.

For eons, folklore has blamed the Moon for everything from lunacy to bad luck. And, for the last few centuries, scientists have scoffed. Now, according to new research they’re not so sure. The Moon may not be made of cheese, but it seems to influence a lot more down on Earth than we previously thought.

According to new research, the Moon affects not only the tides of the oceans but also people, producing a range of symptoms from flare-ups of gout to bladder problems. It may even lie behind the causes of car crashes and affect people’s hormonal balances.

Having carried out new research and reviewed 50 other studies, scientists suggest that doctors and the police even need to prepare for how their work rate will increase at different points in the lunar cycle. Among the findings examined by the researchers were studies that showed GP consultations go up during a full moon, according to Leeds University. Appointments rise by 3.6 per cent, which works out at around three extra patients for each surgery. The researchers did not speculate on the nature of the moon-related problems or why they happened, but said that “it does not seem to be related to anxiety and depression”.

Gout and asthma attacks peak during new and full moons, according to work carried out at the Slovak Institute of Preventive and Clinical Medicine in Bratislava, where attacks over a 22-year period were monitored.

Data from 140,000 births in New York City showed small but systematic variations in births over a period of 29.53 days - the length of the lunar cycle - with peak fertility in the last quarter. “The timing of the fertility peak in the third quarter suggests that the period of decreasing illumination immediately after the full moon may precipitate ovulation.”

A study in Florida of murders and aggravated assaults showed clusters of attacks around the full moon. A second study of three police areas found the incidence of crimes committed on full-moon days was much higher than on all other days. And a four-year study into car accidents found that the lowest number happened during the full-moon day, while the highest number was two days before the full moon. Accidents were more frequent during the waxing than the waning phase.

Another study of some 800 patients with urinary retention admitted to hospital over a period of three years found higher retention during the new moon compared with other phases of the cycle. Interestingly, patients didn’t show any other daily, monthly or seasonal rhythms in their retention problems.

Even what we eat and drink is affected by the lunar cycle, according to a study at Georgia State University. Researchers looked at lunar variations in nutrient intakes and the meal patterns of 694 adults. They concluded: “A small but significant lunar rhythm of nutrient intake was observed with an 8 per cent increase in meal size and a 26 per cent decrease in alcohol intake at the time of the full moon relative to the new moon.”

While scientists have been trying to prove for some time that the Moon does exert an effect, what has not been established is why. Scientists have until now examined the theory that the Moon triggers changes through its gravitational pull. But the latest research points to an effect on people’s hormones. “The lunar cycle has an impact on human reproduction, in particular fertility, menstruation and birth rate. Other events associated with human behaviour, such as traffic accidents, crimes, and suicides, appeared to be influenced by the lunar cycle,” said Dr Michael Zimecki of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

“Although the exact mechanism of the Moon’s influence on humans and animals awaits further exploration, knowledge of this kind of biorhythm may be helpful in police surveillance and medical practice,” he said.

The researchers also found links between the lunar cycle and the likelihood of people being admitted to hospital with heart or bladder problems and with diarrhoea. The menstrual cycle, fertility, spontaneous abortions and thyroid disease were also affected. Just how the Moon could have an effect needs further research. Dr Zimecki suggests that it may be the effect of the Moon’s gravity on immune systems, hormones and steroids.

He said: “At this stage of investigation, the exact mechanism of the lunar effect on the immune response is hard to explain. The prime candidates to exert regulatory function on the immune response are melatonin and steroids, whose levels are affected by the Moon cycle.

“It is suggested that melatonin and endogenous steroids [which are naturally occurring in humans] may mediate the described cyclic alterations of physiological processes. Electromagnetic radiation and/or the gravitational pull of the Moon may trigger the release of hormones.”

Whatever the root cause of the Moon’s influence over us, its hold over the imagination will endure as long as the shining sphere of rock remains in the sky.
Only 12 people have walked on the Moon: the first were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in 1969, the last were Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt in 1972. But last December, Nasa announced plans for a permanent base on the Moon in preparation for a manned mission to Mars.

Construction of the base is scheduled to take around five years, with the first voyages beginning by 2020.

What is chronotherapy?

Chronotherapy takes into account how our body's natural rhythms' impact our ability to process medications. Patterns like sleeping, menstrual cycles, even our physical response to the changing seasons, are different for everyone. In the old days we called these biorhythms. Today, doctors are finding that understanding a patient's biorhythms, and coordinating the timing of their medical treatments to these biorhythms, can profoundly affect the outcome of their treatments. This is called chronotherapy.

Every drug has an optimal time when it is least toxic and most effective. says Keith Block, MD, editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed journal Integrative Cancer Therapies, and Clinical Professor, Department of Medical Education, at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago (UIC), and at the Department of Pharmacology. For cancer treatment, this is determined by several factors, including the biological uniqueness of the particular drug being given, the time when the specific type of cancer cells divide the most, when the normal healthy cells of the patient generally divide the least, the patient's circadian clock and individual rest-activity cycles, and even the time zone the person resides in.According to Dr. Michael Smolensky, co-author of the book The Body Clock Guide to Better Health, when cancer medications are given in a chronobiological manner, patients may be able to tolerate higher, more potent doses than would be possible otherwise.

This method of administering chemotherapy is revolutionary and has demonstrated in large randomized trials its potential to improve survival, states Dr. Block. We have found that often patients receiving chronotherapy reduce what would have been recurring side effects of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue. This is important because the debilitation caused by chemo can cause patients to reduce or even stop treatments that could otherwise help them win their battle with cancer.

Chronotherapy is being widely researched around the world: there are over 62,000 references in the National Institute of Health's archive of biomedical and life sciences journal articles about chronobiology and how biology is affected by timing and over 500 scientific articles specifically about chronotherapy.

The National Cancer Institute's Office of Cancer Complementary and Alternative Medicine (OCCAM) devoted an entire web cast for doctors on chronotherapy. So why isn't chronotherapy used more widely? One of the main problems has been logistic, figuring out how to deliver chemotherapy in exactly timed doses. Portable infusion pumps may hold the answer, explains Gerald Sokol, MD, an oncologist with the division of oncology in FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.

Dr. Block has brought technology to the U.S. that administers chemotherapy via a pump designed to precisely time up to four channels of infusion simultaneously to the individual needs of a patient. Highly portable and small enough to fit in a fanny pack, patients are able to maintain full mobility, play sports, and enjoy a full night's sleep while receiving their specifically timed cancer therapy.

Bio Rhythms Readings

There are more and more psychics are coming out in the market everyday. Every one say he is very powerful on in foretelling your future of you. But, you need to be careful in selecting an authentic psychic. Moreover, you also need to select an authentic website for that. It will benefit you to get your purpose done successfully.

Our body is functioning in co operation with the bio rhythms of its internal vibrations and the world outside. This function can be compared with the planetary movements, the movement of the sun and moon. The entire universe is involved with this connection.

Some of the people have got extra sensory perceptions. This is something beyond the perception of your sensory organs. Eyes, nose, tongue, skin and ears are the five sensory organs through which all human beings get the information. But, if you find information beyond these sensory inputs out of special intuitive powers, then it is called as extra sensory perception. This will help to know about your future. This kind of knowledge is used by some of the psychics.

Can Biorhythms Help You in Trading

Biorhythms were used by sport coaches in training programs for athletes competing in the Olympic Games.

When I first learned about biorhythms I was only a teenager. I thought there was some science behind it or at least that's what the sources I consulted then wanted me to believe. The truth be told, though, there is probably very little scientific evidence to support the idea of biorhythms, but a quarter of a century later, I still consult biorhythms, even if I should know it better by now. Yes, I do consult them because I have noticed that there is a good deal of positive correlation between my mood and mental acuity and my emotional cycle.

And to some extent also between my energy levels and my physical cycle or my mental prowess and my intelligence cycle, though I seem to be mostly affected by the 28 day (practically monthly) emotional cycle. There are times when I really cannot understand or explain why I am feeling particularly lousy or sappy on a given day as there seems to be no good external or any apparent internal reason for that. On a day like that I usually check my biorhythms and more often than not I am presented with a plausible explanation: I am either close or I just entered a critical day or my cycles are indicating a bearish phase, meaning I am down. And so perhaps the best I can do at a time like that is to prevent myself from starting to dig in this hole. Let's just relax a bit, it's not likely that I am going to get done a lot today, anyway.

Biorhythms were used by sport coaches in training programs for athletes competing in the Olympic Games. Soccer coaches found biorhythms useful for selecting and training players. In the last 10 or so years, the idea of biorhythms seems to have been discredited. The statistical studies once supporting this idea, have been found wanting and nowadays this idea is considered to belong to the same realm of scientific validity as astrology.

Should we thus totally reject it as bogus? Personally, I believe that would be unwise. Cycles do exist in nature, the most known of them being the annual one related to the Sun and the monthly cycle that has the Moon as its basis. It is well known that different seasons have different influence on humans. In particular, during the winter time we are more prone to depression when during the months when the Sun stays longer above the horizon. The monthly cycle is related to the menstrual activity in females, for instance, but may have also other effects, less pronounced. The fact the all the biorhythmic cycles have been found to be relatively close to the monthly cycle of about 28-30 days should probably not come as a surprise. This probably reflects the fact that the monthly cycle is real.

So how should we approach this issue from the practical point of view and, in particular, from the point of view of a daytrader? Well, first start by monitoring your moods and mental acuity. Whenever, you feel subpar and cannot find a rational explanation for your poor intellectual performance or lousy mood, see if this coincides with a critical day in the emotional cycle, the one that is closest to the monthly cycle and which I personally have found to be of the greatest influence on me. Or perhaps you are very deep in the negative zone of the emotional cycle, close to the bottom. If you notice such correlations, you may want to take them more seriously and simply try to take it easier and be more cautious in your work or your trading when you are experiencing one of those down periods.

It's hard to keep working at the same strength and pace all the time, so use the periods when you feel slower, less psychically, mentally or physically fit to regenerate your energy. This will serve you well in the long run whether your main occupation is that of an emini daytrader, teacher or nurse.

1970s Certina Biostar Varieties

Great post found at "The watchismo times". The article is short, quite sceptic and grumpy however photos are fine.

Maybe the first and the last Biorhythm watch in history.

"Certina made a few varieties of this pseudo-scientific electronic watch all featuring a rainbow of three rings marked with random numbers for love, health and some other nonsense. Oh those silly dirty hippies..."

I see no extra switches to set up day of birth to calculate biorhythms. Most probably the watches were produced and tuned for each customer personally.

Biorhythm Theory is Essentially a Pseudoscience

Another slashing article about biorhythm theory.

Biorhythm theory is essentially a pseudoscience, purporting to deal with biological cycles ignored by those scientists who study biological rhythms, those in the field of Biochronometry, which among other things, involves the circadian rhythms that govern our sleep and wakefulness cycles. In a nutshell, regardless of the variation of the theory used, the idea is the same: to enable people to forecast whether they are going to have a good day or not. Biorhythm theory is supported primarily by numerological jiggery-pokery, media hype, anecdotal accounts, and what is known as the Forer Effect, the tendency to perceive general statements that can apply to anyone as specifically applying to oneself.

In the various mutant strains of the theory that have popped up over the years, a 38 day Intuitional cycle, a 43 day Aesthetic cycle, and a 53 day Spiritual cycle have been added. There are even variants that make use of cycles that are combinations of other cycles, such as a Passion cycle, combining the Emotional and Physical, a Wisdom cycle, mixing together the Emotional and Intellectual and a Mastery cycle, blending the Intellectual and Physical.

Supposedly, each cycle has an integral length in days, and it is assumed that the entire cycle of a rhythmogram will repeat itself after a total of 23×28x33 days, which comes out to 21,252, or about 58 years, though for strict Fliessian biorhythmists this would be calculated at 23×28=644 days, before the entire sequence begins anew. The theory claims that the more ‘positive’ at a particular time a cycle is, the more potent the ‘energy’ of that cycle is, and the greater the success of the interactions of the one the cycle pertains to.

Too bad that science has never been able to find this energy, despite having a good track record for finding other undetectable things, but once again, I digress. Biorhythmists claim that all cycles start at zero at the time of one’s birth, and at certain points on these cycles, an individual will experience great success or great failure. A cycle going through the horizontal zero line on the biorhythm chart (ahh, now we’re getting to it…) is thought to be at a ‘switchpoint‘, or ‘critical point‘ and this is held to be a time when people become accident prone, on so called ‘critical days.’

To date, there have been no scientific studies published in any accredited, peer-reviewed journal which supports biorhythm theory, and indeed it has been tested, though as of 1998 (Hines), in the then 134+ studies that were conducted, the theory has failed all attempts to validate it. The claims of critical points have been shown to be false, and in response, many ‘expert’ biorhythmists have resorted to using questionable math to support their claims. Biorhythm proponents have refused to relinquish the theory even after it has been proven false by empirical data, falling back on the invocation of special pleadings to effectively render the theory unfalsifiable, even to inventing an entire new category of people, the Arhythmic, including the claim that some are arhythmic part of or all of the time.

Also, to save their failed theory, biorhythmists have made major reinterpretations of biorhythm’s mechanisms, again, effectively making it untestable, and therefore, not science. One purportedly scientific study claimed as a finding that, and I quote, about 60% of all accidents happen on critical days, or about 22% of all days, but there is a problem with their methodology, and the reason this study is not valid: Biorhythmists also count the days immediately before and after the so-called critical day, more like 60% of all days, so the statistic would more accurately be stated as ‘60% of all accidents happen on 60% of all days’, which is what you would expect by sheer chance.

Testing biorhythm theory by keeping a journal, and charting each day is useless, as it is subject to a number of methodological problems, such as the well-known phenomenon of the self-fulfilling prophecy, simple suggestibility, and selective validation. As convoluted as biorhythm theory is, with the need to keep track of the rise, falling, and switchpoints of at least two or three cycles, and maybe more, you don’t have to be a math major to be able to tell that its child’s play to find cases to which the theory seems to apply.

Personal Horoscope and Biorhythms Experience

Personal horoscope and biorhythms experience

I subscribe to a daily horoscope and biorhythm thingie. Now, mind you, I don't put 100% stock into such things. For the most part, I just like to see how applicable they are. I have found that oftentimes, horoscopes especially are worded in such a way that they can apply to anyone at any given time. Like going to a charlatan palm reader, and she says "You will meet someone new." Well, if you go to work, or go to the store, or anywhere for that matter, you will meet someone new. Or if they say "You are troubled over something."

Well, who isn't? I know, I know. Not all of them are hucksters. Do people have the gift of predicting the future? I happen to beleive not. There are, however, people who can more easily "read" a person. Body language, general moods, things like that. Basically, just discernment. Again, these are just my personal beliefs. No offense to yours. Well, anyway, today my horoscope is full of warnings, and my biorhythm puts me at a critical low.

As it happens, it seems to be fairly accurate today. I do feel low. Blue, sad, whatever you wish to call it. At least, though, I do feel that sadness is necessary. People who claim to be happy all the time are hiding something, for it is impossible, in my opinion, to confine yourself to any one single emotion on a daily basis.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate my life or anything. I am in generally good health, I have a place to live, food and electricity, I do have a job, and a paid for vehicle with over a half a tank of gas. So, I don't have it as bad as many. Like the people who honestly don't know how they are going to have their next meal. My heart goes out to people like that. In that perspective, my life really isn't bad at all. However, that doesn't change the fact I am down.

I can be thankful and down at the same time. Being thankful does not change the fact that there are still things I want. Like her. It always comes back to her. There are so many things I want to say to her, and when I get the chance, I squander it away on crap like politics, daily goings on, etc. I have yet to speak with my heart, and that bothers me a bit. For one thing, I always question the timing. I like to be careful about certain things. Talking to women is one of them. There is a fine line between finally saying what you need to say, and saying too much, thus crossing into creepy status. Oh, I'll go around in circles for a year, looking for that opportune moment that might not ever come.

It's funny, because I usually don't hesitate to tell someone what I think or feel. It all comes down to choosing your battles. With the heated state of politics these days, I find it better to stay mostly quiet. I have several friends who are quick to say "This candidate sucks! Any who support him are fooling themselves!" Just don't disagree with them. Then they will focus their fanatacism on you. They will even go so far as to call you a fool, or unAmerican for having a different opinion.

Sorry, but I thought that that was one of the things this country was founded on in the first place. So many of us are closed minded, while calling ourselves open minded at the same time. "I am open minded, it just so happens that what you think is wrong." That seems to be the feel for a lot of this. Let me make this clear: Your beliefs are not wrong, and neither are mine. They just disagree. Thank you.

Not To Fight The Body's Natural Rhythm

It's important not to fight the body's natural rhythm. The problem that many people face is that their natural body clock is not in sync with their real world responsibilities. If you're a night owl and you need to get your kids out in the morning for school you're in conflict. If you work first shift and you feel more awake during second shift there's a conflict. The conflict isn't harmful per se, but it doesn't give you full access to your internal energy and may limit what you can engage in while coping with illness.

There are certain clues that will provide you with the information you need to optimize your energy and create alignment with your natural body time clock. Is it difficult to wake up in the morning? Do you hit snooze over and over hoping that you could stay in bed? Do you need the alarm clock to wake up in the morning? If you answered yes to the previous questions you may not be a morning person internally, but out of habit or necessity. Ask yourself when you're at your peak during the day. Take note when you experience a slump in energy and attention during the day. Keep tabs on when you are fully present instead of simply going through the motions.

When you know when your optimal of time of day is you can schedule your activities to maximize your energy and attention. Scheduling your most important meetings or appointments with your healthcare team when you're focused is important because you're more inclined to ask better questions and be a true partner in your healthcare. You don't need as much artificial energy boosters like caffeine and sugar to get energy. Reducing the amount of artificial energy boosters will reduce the toxins in your system allow the body's natural rise and fall of hormones to carry you through your day.

There aren't any hard and fast rules about how you should expend your energy. It is clear that when your body is alignment with its internal clock you are more aware of your body, your surroundings and are able to make decisions and take action based on that alignment. There is a tendency in our culture to force the body to do things that aren't natural. Keeping your body tied closely to its biological rhythms will improve the body's efficiency and that helps improve treatment outcomes and improves your quality of life.

Great Introduction to Acupuncture and Biorhythms

Easy and clear biorhythms introduction found on physics teacher

"In the science behind acupuncture, a symptom may be caused by too much energy at an organ, and other symptoms by an insufficient amount of energy."

We all know something about biorhythms. Basically, a biorhythm is an internal clock that regulates our bodies in relation to the daily positions of the sun, and the monthly positions of the moon. This can be seen in the time it takes our bodies to adjust to small changes, such as the changes of daylight savings time, or in large changes, such as jet lag. Our understanding of and interest in biorhythms has been recent, within the last thirty or forty years.

The ancient Chinese observed this connection between our bodies and the planets many centuries ago, and use it intheir practice of acupuncture. They list a number of different biorhythms, from the normal twenty four hour cycle up through longer several day periods. All of these are used to follow and influence fluctuations in body energy. In acupuncture, this energy circulates through each part of the body throughout the day, each organ having a two hour time for maximum energy and a time for minimum energy.

For example, the major organs have their maximum energy in the following order: first the liver, then the lungs, large intestine, stomach, spleen, heart, etc., in sequence, for all of the twelve major organs. This order was discovered by years of observing the times of day that the disorders of the various organs displayed their worst symptoms. The acupuncture practitioner can use the times of a patient's symptoms to help determine which organs and energy channels are affected, and also help select the favorable times to treat the patient.

For example, many of the worst asthma attacks take place during the wee hours, which is the maximum energy period of the lungs. The best time to treat these cases is at a time as close to this time as possible.

In the science behind acupuncture, a symptom may be caused by too much energy at an organ, and other symptoms by an insufficient amount of energy. (The determination of which symptoms fall into which category has been catalogued over many centuries, and there are many books on acupuncture detailing these for each of the major organs.) The best time to treat a symptom associated with too much energy is during its maximum energy output, and a symptom with a deficiency in energy is just after the maximum output is over. Of course, it may not be possible to get to your practitioner at those particular times, and there are also other good choices at other times of the day.

In addition to the daily biorhythm, there are also ten day intervals associated with the moon, and so the acupuncture practitioner might strongly suggest that a particular day would be better for treatment than another, based on the particular symptoms reported. Each day of the ten days is associated with one of two aspects of the Qi energy, and also associated with one of five elements. Particular organs are associated with particular elements, and so stimulation of these organs will be more successful on those days associated with the correct element.

It is important for us to take note of the times our symptoms occur as well as what our symptoms are, for that is important information in our acupuncture treatment plan. And know that the time and dates for our treatments are an important part of how well the treatment works.

Biorhythm Imbalances Test

Dr. Michael Borkin, NMD is a pioneer in hormone and electrolyte research. He specializes in hormone and electrolyte testing and balancing. His lab currently uses saliva to test the bio-availability of DHEA, Cortisol, Progesterone, Testosterone and Estradiol and the electrolyte levels of sodium, potassium, chloride in both men and women over a 24 hour period of time.

A patient starts collecting their saliva at 8 AM. They take a sample every 4 hours until 4 AM the next morning. By studying the levels of bio-active hormones and electrolytes available in saliva, doctors learn a great deal about the health and disease processes going on inside their patients’ cells. Dr. Michael Borkin, NMD’s saliva testing of hormones and electrolytes and customized cream production is one of the answers to biorhythm imbalances that occur on critical and sub-critical biorhythm days.

Dr. Tatai, MD, one of the leading biorhythm safety consultants in Japan, believed hormonal imbalances were the cause of biorhythm instability that resulted in accidents, injuries and mistakes on unstable days. Dr. Borkin also realized through his research that our beloved pets suffer hideously because of hormonal and electrolyte imbalances. Dr. Borkin’s lab will soon be adding testing for brain chemistry along with hormone testing for pets and animals. Their levels of balance are similar to that of humans. It is time our cats, dogs and horses were spared the ravages of cancer, arthritis and other life threatening viral, parasitic and bacterial infections. It is amazing just how healthy a person or pet can be when their hormones and brain biochemistry is balanced by supplementation.

Biorhythms And The School Design

We already mentioned biorhythm's guided school in previous posts. Now digits are changing and some more details become available.

Leading north east architects Dewjo'c won the contract to design the exemplary new £20.3million state-of-the-art building. Planning permission was granted to construct the new Monkseaton High school, on Seatonville Road in January. Due for completion in summer 2009 it will provide 938 places for 13 to 19- year-olds.

Dewjo'c's design for the flagship school is based on the exemplar principles laid out by the UK government in 2002 and will create a light, modern, 21st century facility. The architects worked closely with engineering consultancy Parsons Brinckerhoff, the school's headteacher, leading academic Dr Paul Kelley, and his deputy John Sexton, both of whom are instrumental in developing stimulating teaching environments that maximise pupils learning potential.

The design of Monkseaton High was also influenced by the book 'Rhythms of Life', by Russell Foster – a professor of molecular neuroscience – and Leon Kreitzman, which shows that humans have natural biorhythms which govern their daily lives.

In children this makes them most productive between the hours of 10.30am and 3pm, when their body clocks are in sync with daylight. The basic design envisages an educational community stacked within a large protective shell. The school will be orientated to ensure maximum natural ventilation and daylight, helping boost students learning potential in line with Foster's biorhythm discoveries.

The design incorporates a number of learning areas for students to study, independent of teachers. The building's light and airy atmosphere will encourage 'open' learning and is a move away from traditional, 'institutional' school design. Clear walls and open learning spaces remove barriers created by solid corridors and doors. Unlike conventional school buildings, the design for Monkseaton High School aims to maximise space within classrooms, providing teaching spaces and learning areas which will be multifunctional and flexible.

Heroes Leadership Program

Great mention of biorhytms on site To Think & Grow Rich Your Subconscious

The “In Search Of Heroes Leadership Program” teaches parents, children, teachers and civil servants how to identify and develop their potential heroic leadership abilities.

They learn how to develop and use the full power of their minds through mind-mapping and by creating and nurturing their own hero within. They learn the value of using biorhythms to minimize accidents, injuries and mistakes while optimizing their performance in all areas of life. They use the detailed personality information in their astrological natal charts and handwriting analysis profiles to identify and develop their natural capabilities and skills.

They also learn how to use biorhythm and astrological compatibility reports to achieve harmonious relationships in their family, community and city. The goal is to create mastermind groups based on the teachings of Napoleon Hill in his “Think and Grow Rich” book. Everyone must learn how to work harmoniously together to solve problems in their families and communities. Individuals will use social networking sites like “MySpace” “Facebook” and “YouTube” to make new friends and establish new virtual communities so they can share valuable knowledge and useful solutions on how to solve any and all local problems.

Every individual, family and community will benefit from this international program. It develops the full potential of every individual. It inspires and motivates everyone in the community to make a positive difference in the lives of their family members, friends and neighbors. It teaches them how to live harmoniously with their family members, friends and business associates while they spread “Good News” about local heroes. It empowers individuals to be proud of their community because they are solving their own local problems.

Since 1980, when I was Director of Health Research for Family Fitness Centers, I have been developing training programs that include colorful mindmaps, Biorhythm Awareness charts, astrological natal charts, handwriting analysis and superlearning slide shows with brain integrating music, outlines and text documents that help people learn faster and remember more.

Speech Patterns Affect Biorhythms

What entrainment demonstrates… Even very subtle cyclical energies have a substantive impact on their eighboring cyclical energies.

Reverberations from clocks entrain and humans entrain to each other.

“Psychology” is way behind State-of-the-Art. It wasn’t until 1978 that Western medicine accepted that conscious thought affects biorhythms when a yogi placed himself naked in a small sealed Lucite box that was submerged in water for far longer than he should have had oxygen to breathe. Doctors had little choice but to concede that the yogi had intentionally slowed his biorhythm.

We now know that speech patterns affect biorhythms.

You can prove this to yourself by going to your local alternative bookstore and ask to use their biorhythm monitor. (Okay, I grew up in California where this is commonplace. You may not have easy access to a biorhythm monitor.) Get a read at your normal level. Choose a song you know by heart and say this song faster than normal for 30 seconds. Notice the tempo of your biorhythm increase.

Next, say the song slower than normal speech for 30 seconds and watch the cadence of your biorhythm decrease. Speaking slower does not always slow one’s biorhythm. Intentionally speaking slowly with a fast talker will increase your biorhythm relative to the cadence of slow talking in the experiment above.

There is evidence of large-scale human entrainment. The tempo of the American Southern accent is an amalgamation between the colonial British rhythm of speaking and the various African rhythms as spoken by slaves of that era. The Southern accent demonstrates verbal entrainment. Since speech patterns impact biorhythms, it appears human biorhythms do entrain.

Biorhythmic Predictions

Ancient Chinese people thought that biorhythms can be efficiently used for improving many aspects of our lives.

I'm far away from going to poromote our competitors in biorhythms, but they created a very good biorhythmic introduction I can't miss :-)

The term biorhythm describes the cycle created by emotions, intellectuality and physiology and is based on the idea that any form of life on Earth has a certain evolution that is a response to the cycles of the moon, the sun and the seasons.

Those who study biorhythms think that you can find out things related to someone's past and future by examining the rhythms of the his response to the cycles mentioned above. In other words, the emotional, physical and intellectual levels evolve concordantly to the cycles of the sun, the moon and the seasons.

This interrelation between the human cycles and the natural cycles is told to be irrelevant by the critics who consider that the science based on the biorhythm, named chronobiology, is nothing more than pseudoscience. The biological rhythms refer to the way our vital functions modify along with the time cycles. We have some kind of a biologic clock that determines our body to react differently depending on whether is day or night, winter or summer, for example.

The mechanism is situated in the brain and it does its job, however it is influenced by the environment. The chronobiologists developed some studies which show that the biorhythms can seriously affect the symptoms of a disease or the way our bodies react to different medical therapies. As a consequence, the scientists that are interested in biorhythms try to develop methods for improving our health. We all observe that are moments when we feel highly energetic and moments when we are very bored and moments when we feel that we lack energy.

These kinds of states can last for a few days and can greatly influence our activities during that period. Many people choose to use different vitamin tablets and exercises in order to constantly feel energetic and passionate. On the other hand, other people choose to learn how to cope with all these states, with their highs and lows.

They do that by using the modifications determined by their biorhythms and by maintaining the equilibrium when it comes to the emotional, intellectual and physical levels. There may be no magic when it comes to constantly be active but only taking advantage of your biorhythms. We are programmed to react in a certain way to everything around us, so why won't this be the case as well when it comes to the biological rhythm of our organisms. We all need both active and passive phases in our lives but we need to find a way to properly act in both these situations.

Nowadays, there are some people who try to use this as well for general aspects. Don't think that you can use biorhythms for gaining a great amount of money. However, you may get more benefits when it comes to your physical and mental health, as some scientists think.

Biorhythmic Energy Management

Another great biorhythmic introduction article.

A couple of years ago I was asked to be a keynote speaker at a women's conference. While I was on the phone with the organizer, I quickly looked up my biorhythms for the conference date. I had a quadruple high! Yahoo! I gladly accepted the invitation, and guess what? I gave the most inspiring and powerful speech I've ever given.

You, too, can make the most of your life by tracking your natural energy flows on a biorhythm program. You'll have a great day and a healthy life!

There are biorhythm programs you can buy on the internet but you'll be fine with a free program to start. Go to Google and search Free Biorhythms. When a site comes up, type in your birth date, and click on your free biorhythm chart for today. (Bookmark this site as a favorite so you can find it easily every day.)

On your computer screen you will see a chart of your energy flows for today. Oh-oh, I see I am on a triple low. So today and for the next few days, I will be scheduling less. I'm not going to go to that meeting an hour drive away and I'm scrapping my plans for shopping and errands. I'm going to work quietly most of the day in my home office, then take a nap and go swimming in the ocean, which always rejuvenates me and gives me joy. The biorhythms are continually moving and changing, waxing and waning. The physical cycle is 23 days long. That means your physical energy will go from the bottom, when you feel somewhat listless, to the top where you feel you can move mountains, and back down to the bottom in 23 days.

As you guessed, the physical biorhythm influences the energy in your body, your physical strength, and health. The emotional cycle is 28 days long and affects your feelings: your levels of optimism or pessimism, excitement or depression, joy or dullness. The intellectual cycle is 33 days long and influences your ability to learn, articulate, and remember. The intellectual biorhythm affects your ability to grasp mental concepts quickly and clearly.

Because your biorhythms fluctuate up and down, every day is different. One day you might have a high mental and low physical; another day you might have a low intuitional but a high emotional. Never a dull moment! You can guess what activities are good to do according to your biorhythms. Some days are better to just stay in bed, while other days you might feel you could move mountains!

First Biorhythmic School

Work has started on this £18.5 million school in Monkseaton, North Tyneside, designed by Newcastle- London- and Sedgefield-based practice Dewjo'c.

The building, which is expected to complete in summer 2009, will feature triangular classrooms and has been inspired by the book Rhythms of Life by neuroscientist Russell Foster and Leon Kreitzman, which deals with biorhythms.

According to the book, children are most productive between 1030am and 3pm when their body clocks are in sync with daylight, so the building has been angled to ensure maximum natural ventilation and daylight, helping boost students' learning potential in line with Foster's biorhythm discoveries. Once finished, the school will house 938 students.

Yoga as a Biorhythms Tuner

Maintaining the physical body with asana.

The causes of stress in the body are diet, environment, and mismanagement of the daily routine required by the body. There are certain biorhythms in our body which become active during the day and which subside at night.

These biorhythms, which represent the optimum performance of different organs at certain times and their relaxation at other times, are definitely misused. This is possibly the worst kind of stress we can encounter in our lives, more so than environmental or dietary stress, because here we are altering the entire biorhythmic structure of the body.

When we practise asanas, or yogic postures, then this is precisely the area we are trying to reach. Asanas have four major benefits:
- the internal biorhythms are harmonized;
- the pranic energy in our system becomes regulated;
- the blockages and tensions in different muscles are removed;
- there is harmony in the performance of the sympathetic and parasympathetic activities of the body.

There are many other benefits, but these are the four main ones.

Once we attain these four benefits in our lives with the practice of asana, then there are very few chances of the body encountering or undergoing internal stress conditions. Therefore, one limits the intensity of an illness in the physical structure. Diabetes or arthritis will not come to you and you will not have to take insulin injections or tablets. If diabetes, asthma or joint pains do arise they can be managed or reduced.

Biozavr: Ancient handy biorhythm calculator

Found at Pretty Good Things

When I was in middle school my mom "gave" me this thing called a Biomate that she had back in the day (gave meaning it just stayed in my room for 13+ years). It looks like the one above. Not only is it way cool - but the thing is only a little bigger than the palm of my hand.

For those who don't know about biorhythms Wikipedia says it is, "a hypothetical cycle in physiological, emotional, or intellectual well-being or prowess."

I love this pseudoscience! I actually believe in it, at least a little. Now, before you go checking me into the county mental facility, I would like to point out that many things are cyclical in nature and I for one find I have been 100% accurate when guessing (and then checking my biorhythm) when I am a little low on the intellectual side of life.

Ever have those days where you can't say anything right or your words come out all jumbled? (and NO it is not because you've been drinking again) I challenge you to go check your biorhythm out online and just see if it a little low on the intellectual area. JUST SEE!

Environment: Earth's Biorhythms

As egotistical humans, we seem unable to accept the biorhythm of this planet.

With everyone on the global-warming bandwagon, I think it's time for a little reality check.

Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. It is the basis for all plant life, which also nourishes animal life. Far from destroying the world, there is evidence that it is enriching it.

Satellite data analyzed by scientists over the last two decades have shown more than a 6 percent increase in the Earth's vegetation. Tests exposing various plants to excess carbon dioxide have resulted in more growth of bigger, stronger plants.

And the Earth's warming is not a problem, despite all the hype. Richard Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, noted that global-mean temperatures have risen only about 1 degree Fahrenheit over the past century. Beginning in 1919, it rose over the next 20 years, then declined over the next 30, rising again and then remaining flat after 1998.

There is volcano activity deep under the polar caps, but nobody mentions this pertinent fact.

Unfortunately, that is not the only fact shoved to one side by the media and environmentalists. The Vikings settled Greenland in 986 A.D., and raised cattle, hay and grain for 300 years. No cars there. The Earth has gone through numerous cooling and warming stages. We are now in the declining years of the last Little Ice Age.

Biorhythms in Golf

Just a little note about biorhythms implementation while playing golf:

"We'll also take a look at the incredible ebbs and flows of the tournament, by measuring the players' attitude on a Biorhythm Meter."

Interesting, how mentioned "Biorhythm Meter" looks? Is it an electronic device or computer program? What "Biorhythm level: 3" means? And… what kind of biorhythm (physical, emotional etc) was measured?

I asked that questions and hope on reply. Really interesting.

Maya Moon Biorhythms

It looks like every civilization invents own biorhythm cycles that slightly differs in periods ...

The Moon played an important role in ancient Mesoamerican (middle America, i.e. Mexico and northern Central America) astrology. The astrologers of this region noticed that blocks of time had different and specific qualities. They recognized that the rising and setting of the Sun every day establishes the basic time unit — the day. Their great discovery was a 20-day cycle, similar in many ways to a biorhythm. Each day in the 20-day cycle has specific qualities, similar to the signs of the Western zodiac. Each has a name, a symbol, and a delineation.

They also noticed how fast the Sun and Moon moved across the sky. In one day, the Moon moves as far as the Sun does in 13 days. Also, in one year, the Moon cycles with the Sun 13 times. These are two major reasons why the number 13 came to be the most powerful number in ancient Mexican astrology.

The most powerful calendar of ancient Mexico was one that had 20 “weeks” of 13 days, a total of 260 days. This astrological calendar, or almanac, was (and still is) used for interpretation and forecasting, not for ordinary use. The twenty 13-day “weeks,” known in Spanish as the Trecena (13ths), are basically lunar in nature since they represent the time taken for the Sun to match the Moon’s daily travel. Each of the twenty 13-day periods has a specific meaning that is “generated” by the named solar day (the day-sign) that begins the period. These “first days” are numbered 1, followed by the name of the day.

Runner's biorhythms

If you don’t mind it doesn’t matter

So, you want to be a runner and you want to know what it means to be one. Well, I was motivated to write this post after viewing the recently posted video showing Pat, Brian, Layton and others after running at 5:30 am. On the one hand you see Pat voicing the difficulties that he experienced during the run, Brian being totally non-committal and Layton forever smiling and giving wise, albeit somewhat misleading advice concerning oxygen consumption. This variance in attitudes of runners is to be expected and celebrated, as runners are people first and therefore are blessed with there own wonderful individualism. But what struck me most was a single remark made “off camera”. I believe it was Layton, although it could have been any of the others who said, “No man runs alone.” It is this principle that I have always tried to emulate and I am so glad to see some of this rubbing off on others.

You see, there is nothing more frustrating and demoralizing for a beginning runner, one who is returning from an injury or one who simply has not developed their level of competence to see someone run ahead, especially when they are suffering. And believe me, we all will have or have had those bad days when our “bio-rhythms” are simply out of whack for whatever explicable or inexplicable reason. The term “bio-rhythm” is most likely foreign to most of you, but it is a term that, in my opinion is a most descriptive word that defines all of the external and internal influences that individually or collectively affect how we feel and how we in turn perform. Your performance can be clearly impacted by things under your control such as the type of food eaten the night before; your level of hydration; the manner in which you mentally and physically prepare for the elements; the type of shoes you wear; how you slept the night before; how much stress you are under and so forth (you can probably fill in your own favourites). These factors are fairly understandable, but some other factors that are far more mysterious and often not within your control, might include the amount of pollution in the air; the air pressure (is it rising of falling); the magnetic pull of the moon and sun; the amount of daylight; the height of the sun in the sky; the smell of the soap that you are using and so many other factors that are too many to name. So do not deny those bad days, or even try to explain them away, as they WILL happen.

It is the mystery of what is behind both the good days and the bad days that amazes me, and I would invite you all to be similarly amazed. I like to compare the complexities of what may affect my running to the wonderful and amazing growth of a plant. Why is it that certain plants grow better than others, even when there is an apparent similarity in care? This is a wonderful and amazing MYSTERY that my feeble mind can only try to imagine. Yet I can witness this everyday. As an example, my wife has had a Shamrock plant for years, and about a year ago I forgot to keep it watered and it almost died. Well only after months of TLC from my wife it did come back. But what is amazing, this plant loves the television. In fact when you have the plant near to the TV and turn it on, it actually vibrates. Now this sounds crazy, but I have seen this happen and my eyes do not deceive me. Is there an explanation? Not that I can fathom, but I know it happens. Just like I know I have good days and bad days running and most times there is no explanation.

All of this said, when you look at what must have happened this morning, Pat was clearly having difficulty, for whatever reason, whereas Layton was full of vim and vinegar, yet Layton and I have to assume the others finished together. It has been my experience that I have been both the blessed recipient of help from superior (at least on that day) runners and have at the same time tried to assist others who may be struggling. If you want to be a good runner, then remember your fellow runner, because he or she may be your salvation as soon as tomorrow.

As for me, I will always try to be the last runner to finish and as I indicated, there will be at least sometime when each of you, including me (just ask Joel about two weeks ago) will experience a very difficult run. This is all part of the physical and mental portion of the training and if you do not experience a bad run at least once, then either you are most fortunate or someone else is hurting more than you. So, please do not be upset if on any given day you are the chosen person to be one step ahead of me, in fact celebrate, as this will mean that you have achieved an important part of your training. Remember, running is all MIND OVER MATTER (as Satchel Page said, “If you don’t mind it doesn’t matter.”) and because a running is 95% mental (and the other half is physical), you all must work as much or more so on mental toughness as on physical endurance.

Experience With Biorhythm Readings

Very interesting discussion about quackery biorhythms readings ... I only wonder what the hell the "biorhythms computer" is?

"Have any of you had any experience with biorhythm readings, or any other such quackery where you were hooked up to a "computer" and completely diagnosed?

My wife's family is big into alternative medicine. About two years ago they jumped onto the Nikken bandwagon, and now someone in the family has obtained a "biorhythm computer" (thats supposedly illegal in the US) that can tell you everything about yourself, from depression, "allergic to dairy", stress, and cancer. Being a man of science, this bothers me, because every argument I put to it, my wife waves off as "So if you don't believe in it, it can't possible work", or "So if it doesn't come from a Dr. in a office, it can't possibly work".

I will admit, some of the stuff that they have told her, or her family is kind of weird. She knew that my wife had a iron deficiency, but they also told her alot of generic stuff like she has a "stress problem" and hasn't been sleeping properly. Shes a stay at home mom, of course she has stress. They also told her that she could not get cancer, because cancer is a acid and her system is very basey. That last claim is what really upset me. Should I just let her keep believing this quackery? "

- And the best possible comment "I'm going to use my psychic powers here... oh, yes, it's coming to me: Your wife is a libra. She takes echinacea and vitamin C daily to ward off colds. She used to think she was a spring, but now it seems she is a summer. Her entron levels are through the roof. She once won $400 playing the lottery. She wears a St. Christopher's around her neck. She found a nickel using a divining rod.

Really, none of these may be true, but you can clearly see that quackery can lead to a loss of money. That is just the beginning though. The "biorhythm" machine is harmless until your wife uses it to actually base medical decisions on its "readings." If she fails to get a mammogram or pap smear because she's convinced that she's immune to cancer, then you need to get worried."

- "Most altie woo is pretty harmless nonsense. My dad & his wife (she works for a "supplement" company) are into a combo of sound dietary practices and quacky nonsensical junk science.

Since it's not doing them any harm, and since a healthy amount of attention to one's health is, well, healthy, I try to keep my mouth mostly shut. My threshold for disabusing them is pretty simple, and a modification of the Hippocratic Oath: First, (let them) do no harm (to themselves)."

- "If you want to prove your wife's family wrong, find somebody with a set of known conditions, hook 'em up to the illegal biorhythm computer (heehee), and watch as the machine fails to diagnose them.If you'd like to have a happy relationship, I think it's important to pick your battles. (When I was a kid, in, say, the mid-'80s, the local Chuck E. Cheese had a biorhythm machine.

If I recall correctly, you'd drop in a token, put your thumb on a metal pad, hear some clanking and whirring, and finally be presented with a dot-matrix printout which heavily featured a bunch of curves. Oh, and it was right next to a fortune-telling machine. Wow--I must be at the peak of my reminiscing cycle.)"

- "Oh, yeah, my gramma's old 386 had a program that did these. Illegal? According to whom? That'd be my first line of attack, then I'd go for making specific claims (the "rhythms" of my gramma's machine showed ascendent and descendent health curves, as well as intelligence curves. It was easy to take a similar test, like crosswords or number puzzles, on different days and chart the speed results against the curves and see that they were independent), then debunking them."

Group biorhythms compatibility charts

Any person has unique biorhythms that represent a number of vital abilities like stamina, immunity to disease, moods, memory, unconscious perception etc.

Therefore it’s possible to calculate biorhythms for group of persons, so called mutual effect rhythms or group biorhythms. Group biorhythms represent an interaction between two or more persons at any moment.

Group biorhythms in team management

Group biorhythms are useful for team management. It’s possible either to build new team with necessary performance and compatibility or evaluate existing team per numerous criteria.

For example, sports team must have synchronized physical biorhythms to achieve maximal possible results in good days. For sales team emotional compatibility may be important factor to evaluate.

How it works?

Two persons with synchronized physical biorhythms will have 100% physical compatibility and certainly pass through the high periods, when joint efforts are doubled and team effectiveness is up to 100%.

However they should also be ready for the low periods, when both are completely empty and team effectiveness is 0%.

On the other hand, two persons with 0% physical compatibility will always compensate each other and team effectiveness is about 50% at any moment.

Guru Tips: Making $340 per day with lucky biorhythms

"I did fantastically well last Friday, which according to my biorhythm chart was my lucky day. I did $340."

Leerie Tagney worked the offramp from northbound I-25 in Monument, where he says he makes about $25 an hour panhandling.

"I make a good $25 an hour," said Tagney, 71, known as "Mr. Wizard" and looking the part with turquoise eyes and a frizzy blond-streaked gray beard. "I did fantastically well last Friday, which according to my biorhythm chart was my lucky day. I did $340." Without the $6 ride on the Front Range Express bus, Tagney would be just another beggar on Denver's streets. Tagney limits his treks to Monument to two times a week.

"These are beautiful, generous people," he said. "I don't want to wear it out." He totes a water jug, jacket, snacks and several hats. He likes to look presentable. He prides himself on being a gentleman. He knows the demographics of his client base. "This area leads to upper-middleclass housing and a generally Christian community. I have teenagers give me $20 bills."

He regards it as an investment in a maladjusted misfit who thinks big. "I consider what they give me sacred money. It's in a trust for my betterment, it's not mad money," he said. "I gave up booze 23 years ago. I don't use drugs, I'm not about to start at 71. I like to have a cup of tea and have something at McDonald's and socialize a little bit. I bought a $500 crystal ball on layaway."

His name is on the business cards for tarot card and horoscope readings he does for $10 at the Mercury Cafe in Denver. But it isn't until he starts talking about the octagonal 5-foot clock he's spent four years building with wood and 1,308 upholstery nails that his Mr. Wizard side rears.

"There will be a Buddha in the middle, surrounded by the 12 animals of the Chinese calendar," he said. "I have all the radially codes of the planets, starting with Pluto, in simple and complex form." The clock, which he thinks should fetch $10,000 at auction, will be functional. "It will tell time," he said.

Boxing Biorhythms: David Diaz vs Manny Pacquiao

Tonights’ matchup of Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz for Diaz’s WBC lightweight title: Both fighters actually have very similar cycles except in the physical area.

David has a cycle that’s actually near its physical peak, while Manny’s is at a physical low. Both fighters have similar cycles mentally, which are low….and emotionally…both high. The way this manifests is that David’s ability of breaking through his wall and finishing the job will be stronger than Manny’s but not by much. In the area of focus, it’s about even. In terms of overall awareness… about the same here too.

Result will be David winning out in a rather slow-paced affair, TKO in 10th.

What Your Biorhythm Chart Tells You

This chart is not an all out answer to all problems or decision making.. neither is it a prediction tool. It can just guide you to make the best out of your day.

The moon has pull over the tides which causes the water to shape around the earth in an oval fashion (wherein the highest tide is towards the moon). This takes on a cycle as the moon itself rotates around the planet Earth. Our planet comprises of mostly water, and so a majority of Earth’s inhabitants are also affected by the moon’s gravity tug. Tradition says that women follow this cycle too.. that’s why women get their monthly periods. This is just one aspect.. on a larger scale, its called Biorhythm.

Biorhythm are cycles of the fundamental aspects of life–emotional, physical and mental. There is also the secondary cycle which is not so popular. This involve the mastery, passion and wisdom.
My thoughts appear so cloudly recently that I have been experiencing insomnia and extreme sadness every night. I get so bothered about a lot of things, and I tend to mix my emotions with my thoughts (in which, for me, they should be two different things). I check on my widget and it reports that the emotional and physical aspects are at the lowest point on the 27th. This means that I haven’t faced the worst of the emotional and physical negativity yet. Although this is the case, I firmly believe that the chart is correct, since I am most productive lately to write more posts.

I believe in this cycle at 80% of the time, since the other things happen by luck or by choice. But the key concept is that knowing your biorhythm, you can at least postpone immensely important decisions at a point wherein you are at the peak of intellectual and/or wisdom cycle. Maybe monitoring your chart can also make you understand the way you react to different scenarios over different periods of time. I think that this tells a big thing about how a person can sometimes be predictable or vice versa.

Who knows, if you just pay attention, you might actually be able to hold your tongue when in a fight if you’re aware of what your biorhythm chart tells you. It can save you time thinking about if spending, or even a confrontation would be best at this time. It can actually guide you up to a certain point.. but of course it can’t really predict what will happen to you since only you can make a decision about how to live your life.

Mixing Biorhythms and Astrology

Knowing beforehand what each day holds for you

Your potential for creativity, your daily strengths and weaknessses. Astro-Rhythms are individualized and highly detailed guides that pertain specifically to you based on the same data that astrologers use. Astro-Rhythms provide graphical data in an easy-to-interpret format.

WHAT MAKES ASTRO-RHYTHMS UNIQUE?

Astro-Rhythms is the result of years of tracking heavenly bodies and checking their relationships to each other on a mathematical basis formulated by the Brotherhood of Light. Astro-Rhythms compare your Natal Planet positions -- significant planets’ positions at the time of your birth -- with the ever-changing cosmos. Because the universe is constantly in flux and planets have such varying orbits, Astro-Rhythms charts have near-infinite possibilities, yet they are simple to use.

HOW DO ASTRO-RHYTHMS COMPARE WITH ASTROLOGY CHARTS?

Astrology interpretations are highly subjective and can vary widely depending on who's interpreting them. In an everything-affects-everything scenario, rules have been formulated that provide a wide range of interpretation that don't always result in a direct meaning in your life. Astro-rhythms are objective and allow you to see your advantages and disadvantages at a glance allowing you to apply the information they provide within your own context. You have the power to determine which actions to take based on which aspects of your chart are harmonious and which are not.

HOW DO ASTRO-RHYTHMS COMPARE WITH BIORHYTHMS?

Biorhythms have only three lines of representation. Astro-rhythms deal with TWELVE aspects of your personality as represented by your Houses. They are much richer in detail than biorthyhms and show a much wider range of potential, but are just as easy to read.

Sexual Biorhythms of Men and Women

Biorhythms don't measure compatibility. They measure energy patterns and energy dynamics in relationships. The more compatible a couple's biorhythms, the more dynamic their relationship is likely to be... either good or bad.

Psychologists affirm that “owl-lark” couples do argue a lot, it is harder for them to find a compromise, they go out in public less often, and feel disconnected from each other far more often. The issue gets intensified by the fact that the partners obviously have sex less often as well. Surely, couples that have the same biorhythms also may encounter different timings in passion. After all, the female and male sexual sensitivity clocks are very much different. We have to do something about it!

Biorhythms in Our Lives

There is a vast variety of biorhythms. Some have a period of less then a fraction of a second, others last for a couple of years. For each of us an activity rush period is followed by a relaxation, apathy, when we are running out of energy. This is explained by the fact that blood hormone levels fluctuate every hour, day, couple of days, seasons. It is hard to go against this metronome, even for the toughest workaholic and the most passionate lover.

Biorhythms and Sex Hormones

Scientists believe that our DNA has a specific gene section responsible for synthesis of a so-called key protein component. It is a peculiar biological spring, which acts as an initiator for the internal biorhythms clock. Punctual hypothalamus, following its calendar, gives orders to hypophysis, which is obeyed by most of the sex hormones. That’s how it comes around that on some days production of, let’s say, testosterone is rather low, and on other days you are up for feats in bed.

Time When Both Women and Men Want Sex: Study

Do the glorious moments of love exist at all, when passion seizes both partners with equal power? Those questions were studied by Peter Platz, a specialist in the field of issues in sexuality from Hamburg. He graphed the “desire curves” and attempted to find the overlap points between the male and female apogee. It turned out that there are very few of those, yet the moments when hearts beat in a complete unison do exist.

Difference in Male and Female Libido

During the first hours upon awakening, especially after having some erotic dreams, the stronger gender is very much in the mood for an intercourse. At 7 am the male sex hormones activity exceeds the norm by about 20 percent, by 9 am - by as much as 50 percent. The arousal starts to decline by 10 am and then raises once again by 11 am. But here comes the difference, since the arousal in females is not yet awaken by this time of the day. Desire hormones join the female bloodstream only closer to noon.

Best Time for Sex for Both Women and Men

At 1 pm, the male is still aroused, by 4 pm his eagerness reaches its peak point. Attention! Female is drawn towards a sensitive encounter around this time as well. But two hours later, both male and female libido will need rest. To get it excited once again, as the German expert suggests, sport comes very handy.

Best Time for Conflicts about Sex

It may seem that in the evening, the body should entirely give itself in to passion, but that is not the case! This is the time of the most vexing discords. Female hormones still keep it quiet (even if she did not work before that), but the male is eagerly up for intimacy. To awaken the sensitivity of his partner he will perhaps have to use an entire arsenal of his charms, be soft and attentive.

When It Is too Late for Sex

Finally, by 10 pm, at last, she is overwhelmed by the passion of love, but it is too late, since the male organism , although still wanting “it”, is already fighting with the power of sleep. That is why, often enough, after a few minutes of passionate embraces, the male falls fast asleep under the influence of the endorphins, which arrived to the brain during the orgasm. This greatly upsets the girlfriend, who is open for a heart-to-heart talk at this time.

Listen to Your Partner’s and Your Body

Surely, we can not treat biorhythms as a rigid forecast. Humans are not mechanisms and deviations from the scheme proposed by Platz do exist. Nevertheless, the German doctor’s advices can be very helpful for most men and women. The main point is that we should not be easily hurt by a refusal in intimacy. It does not necessarily mean that the feelings are gone, it can very much be the case that the partner’s libido has taken a time-out for a while. Be patient and attentive towards your beloved one; try to find out when he or she has the greatest desire for an intercourse. Listen to your own feelings as well: when you are in the mood for some love games as well.

Chance to Survive

Not knowing what was coming was challenging, although having biorhythm charts on everyone in the household was a huge advantage for marshaling scarce emotional resources and having an idea of when were the most dangerous and unstable times. Knowing when to allow invasive procedures when the patients have the greatest chance to survive is invaluable.

It was good you had 14 months with your mom. It is an amazing experience to go through the death process with a loved one. The bonding is the most powerful I have every felt, especially with 3 years with my mom and 4 years with my dad.

Even though the emotional and financial challenges were severe, you cannot put a price on the emotional and spiritual rewards you receive when you do the right thing for the people in your life. There is something special about your parents telling you thank you for changing their diapers and feeding them when they can no longer take care of themselves.
